Explore this collection of 9 charming period cottages, each with their own unique personality. There’s a large ingle nook fire place in The Puffin Burrow. Walk through the small gated front garden of The Laurels and you’ll find four poster beds, roll top baths as with most of the other cottages as well as wood burning stoves. Honey Pot cottage is filled with charming, quirky features indicative of the period and all have gardens.

Puffin Burrow (sleeps 6)

This is a 17th century cottage of immense character with many original features such as a large inglenook fireplace and exposed beams.  It comfortably sleeps 6 with 1 double bedroom on the ground floor and another double on the first floor, both with four poster beds.  There is a further twin bedroom on the first floor with 2 antique sleigh beds large enough to sleep two children each if need be. Read more

The Chase Cottage (sleeps 6)

The chase is a spacious two storey cottage that comfortably sleeps 6.  There are two double bedrooms with four poster beds, one with a wood burning stove, three bathrooms, two with roll top baths and showers.  The cosy living room also has a wood burning stove and an adjoining kitchen/dining room leading out to a garden. Read more

The Limes cottage (sleeps 5)

The Limes is a really charming wooden house.  It has a spacious living room with open fire place and adjoining kitchen/dining area.  There is a ground floor bedroom leading out onto the garden.   It has an ensuite bathroom with roll top bath and shower, on the first floor is a spacious master bedroom, a second single bedroom with antique sleigh bed and a further bathroom with roll top bath. Read more

The Beehive (sleeps 4)

Beehive is a quirky cottage with bags of character.  The ground floor has a living room with a wood burning stove leading out to a garden as well as a kitchen/dining area.  On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed, a bathroom with roll top bath and a further cloakroom/WC. Read more

Mulberry Cottage (sleeps 4)

Mulberry is a very quaint single storey wooden cottage with a lot of charm.  It has a spacious living room with an open fireplace and a kitchen/dining room.  There is a master bedroom with a four poster bed and two further single bedrooms, one of which converts into a double.  There are two bathrooms with roll top baths.  Read more

The Honey Pot (sleeps 4)

This is a very charming and quirky 18th century cottage full of period features.  On the ground floor is a cosy living room with a large open fire and a small conservatory. There is also a kitchen/dining room and a double bedroom with wood burning stove.  On the first floor which has steep stairs is a further double bedroom suite with dressing room/study and a four poster bed and a shared bathroom with roll top bath, there is also a garden. Read more

The Willows (sleeps 4/5)

The willows is a charming single storey wooden cottage with a spacious living room, wood burning stove and a kitchen/dining area.  It has a master double bedroom with dressing room/study and an antique bed. The Sweet Shop (sleeps 2)

The Sweet Shop is a romantic wooden cottage for two with double volume ceiling and ornate beams.  It takes its name from its former life as the village store during Edwardian times.  It is very charming with a spacious living room, adjoining bedroom with a four poster bed and an open fire.  There is a small Kitchen/Dining area a bathroom with shower. Read more

The Laurels (sleeps 6/8)

The Laurels is spacious; comfortably sleeping 6/8 guests; two master doubles and one twin (with single cabin beds that extend into doubles). There are three bathrooms, with roll top baths, one en-suite (two with showers) and a fully fitted kitchen/dining room with doors opening onto the garden. There is also a separate kitchen/breakfast room.  There are wood burning stoves or open fires in all the rooms.

There is a TV/DVD in the living room and master bedroom. The décor is of a high standard with lovely period furnishings and antiquarian books. Read more
